Je Me Souviens VIMY 100

WHEN: SEPTEMBER 1 to 29

WHERE: Manitoba Legislative Building

The Alliance Française du Manitoba is proud to present Vimy 100 Je me souviens at the Manitoba Legislative Building.

This exhibit is the result of the reflections of photojournalist Racheal McCaig on the magnificence of a monument commemorating the Battle of Vimy Ridge: an affirmation of a young country that has now reached adulthood and a decisive moment in Canada’s history.
This series of photographs was the subject of a special exhibit in Givenchy-enGohelle, France, near Vimy, in April 2017 as part of the commemoration of this battle where so many Canadian soldiers distinguished themselves during the First World War.

Opening reception at the Grand Staircase area on Thursday, September 7, 2017

Runs from September 1 – September 29
