Vous voulez profiter de votre temps de midi du vendredi pour parler français ? Venez à notre cours de conversation à Creative Manitoba au cœur du quartier de la Bourse ! Nous offrons un niveau intermédiaire A2/B1 de 11h45 à 12h45 puis un niveau avancé B2/C1 de 13h à 14h.

Do you want to practice your French during lunch hour on Fridays? Come to our French conversational course at Creative Manitoba in the heart of the Exchange District! We offer a A2/B1 intermediate level from 11:45am to 12:45pm and a B2/C1 advanced level from 1pm to 2pm.

6th Alliance Française French Film Festival

L’Alliance Française du Manitoba et la Cinemathèque de Winnipeg, grâce au soutien du Gouvernement du Canada, du Gouvernement du Québec et de l'Institut Français sont heureux de vous présenter la 6ème édition du Festival de film français de l’Alliance Française. Au programme : des comédies, quelques films classiques et surtout beaucoup de fun! C'est une invitation à découvrir la diversité du cinéma français. Les films sont diffusés en français et sous-titrés en anglais.

In partnership with the Winnipeg Cinematheque and with the support of the Governement of Canada, the Governement of Québec and the Institut Français, the Alliance Française du Manitoba is proud to present the 6th Alliance Française French Film Festival. On the menu : comedies, some classics movies and a lot of fun! It will give Winnipeggers the opportunity to see a diverse selection of French feature-length movies. Films will be presented in French with English subtitles.

Venez entre amis, en famille ou seul pour partager une soirée de fun autour de jeux de sociétés en français. Comme d’habitude, nous sélectionnerons des jeux inédits qui divertiront petits et grands. N’hésitez pas à apporter votre jeu préféré! La soirée est ouverte à tous, peu importe le niveau de français de chacun. On vous attend nombreux!                                

Come with your friends, family or by yourself to share a fun night with us by playing board games in French. As usual, we will pick a new selection of games that will entertain both kids and adults. Do not hesitate to bring your own favourite board game. This event is opened to everybody, no matter what your level of French is. See you there!

Projet Spoken Word Project is back!

Notre troisième soirée Spoken Word de la saison 2019-2020 approche ! Cette scène ouverte est une belle opportunité de venir vous exprimer dans la langue que vous souhaitez : partagez un poème, lisez un extrait de texte, chantez une chanson ou venez juste écouter et encourager les participants. L’entrée est gratuite et ouverte à tous.

Our third Spoken Word Night of the 2019-2020 season is just around the corner! This free open mic is an opportunity for you to express yourself in any language you want: read a poem, sing a song, improvise, or just come and support the participants! We will be there to listen and share the moment.

Bonjour Karen !

Nous souhaitons la bienvenue à Karen Johanna Casallas Acero dans notre équipe pédagogique! Karen, 26 ans vient de Bogota en Colombie. Elle a déjà enseigné le français à l’Alliance Française de Bogota et même l’espagnol en France, dans des écoles secondaires. Passionnée par les langues et les voyages, ce n’est pas la première fois que Karen met les pieds à Winnipeg. Elle était déjà passée par la capitale manitobaine en 2014, pour le forum des jeunes ambassadeurs de la francophonie des Amériques. Curieuse, elle est toujours à la recherche d’activités dans les prairies manitobaines. N’hésitez pas à lui partager vos bons plans!  

Let’s welcome Karen, our new teacher who arrived from Bogota a week ago. Karen taught French at the Alliance Française of Bogota and she taught Spanish too in France, in middle and high school. Passionate about traveling, it is not the first time she comes to Winnipeg. She came by the capital of Manitoba 6 years ago, for the Young Ambassadors Forum of the Francophonie Centre of the Americas. Curious, she is still looking for new activities to celebrate the winter in the Prairie. Don’t hesitate to share your tips with her!
