The newest jewel in the crown that is Jean-Louis Murat’s career, Babel, is an orchestral, harmonious, and overwhelming double album. Containing 20 songs that confirm his unique and indispensable place in the French musical landscape, this album is the work of a cartographer mad with love, of a geographer turned back by memories, History, the sights and aromas of a country of nourishment, where poetry often lends itself to regionalisms, a stunning and sublime confrontation that no one else could fathom. Babel is all of this, and more.
