LITeRARY MEET & GREET WITH KIM Thúy

In partnership with the Alliance Française of Paris, the Alliances Françaises of Canada, the Cultural Canadian Center in Paris, the General Consulate of France in Quebec and the Institut Français in Paris, we invite you to meet the Vietnamese-born Canadian writer, Kim Thúy.

Kim Thúy spent her early childhood in Vietnam before fleeing with her parents as boat people and settling in Quebec. She graduated in translation and in law, and has worked as a seamstress, interpreter, lawyer, restaurant owner and food columnist for the radio and TV. Initiated in 2017 by the Alliance Française of Paris, the event Je viens de loin, j’écris en français gives a voice to authors from all around the world who have chosen to express themselves in French.
